Lunchido — The Backstory

A lunch decision tool for the chronically indecisive.

Lunchido started as a Python script. Every workday at 11:45 AM, the author — an office worker — would stare at the same mental list of six restaurants, unable to decide. The ritual was always the same: open Google Maps, scroll through the same spots, fail to choose, and end up at the same congee shop anyway.

The script ran every morning and spat out a choice. It was simple. It worked.

Eventually, colleagues wanted in. So the script became a web app. Then the web app became Lunchido — a zero-friction lunch decision tool that anyone can use. It has a smart algorithm that learns what you skip and balances your choices so you do not eat the same thing three days in a row.

No account needed. No data leaves your browser. Just spin and eat.
